I’ve been guilty of berating the Parsons Festival for the better part of the semester because it means we Parsons students have finals pushed up one week to accomodate the festival. (Meaning this coming week is our final week, instead of the usual 3rd week of May.) But now that I’ve had a chance wind down and to learn a bit more about the Parsons Festival (Nobody knew what it was since the school year started in August. No one. Not one of my professors or peers had a single clue.), I’ve come to realize that this could be amazing, if I just had some more time to appreciate it. And I plan to.
The festival is a major showcase with over 150 events and exhibitions of the incredible talent and creativity here at Parsons. So if you’re in town, the events and exhibitions are kicking things off this weekend!
Visit newschool.edu/parsonsfestival for more details.
(Also, BLOCK PARTY on Saturday, May 21 from 11AM – 5PM on West 13th between Fifth and Sixth. Come! I’ll be there. Lots of free stuff!!!)
