I was really nervous when I heard about the film adaptation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower because it’s one of my favorite books. When is there ever a good film adaptation? But then I heard that Stephen Chbosky would be writing and directing it. And Emma Watson was cast as Sam. And Pittsburgh is the filming location, not Los Angeles or Vancouver. And all was right in the world. Also according to IMDb, Paul Rudd will be playing Bill and Kate Walsh is Charlie’s mother and Mae Whitman was cast as Mary Elizabeth. All good things.
